Op. Dr. Kemal Demir

I was born in 1976, graduated from Samsun Anatolian High School in 1994 and entered Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in the same year.

While I was a student at the faculty, I was assigned as a sleep examiner intern at the Sleep Laboratory in the Department of Chest Diseases, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine between 1997 and 2000. I actively participated in PSG and related sleep examinations and test interpretation studies for snoring, sleep respiratory arrest and other sleep disorders. I graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine as a Medical Doctor in 2000.

I specialized in Istanbul Training and Research Hospital Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Clinic and became a specialist in 2006.

Between 2006-2008, I worked as an ENT Specialist at Rize Çayeli State Hospital, where I was appointed for compulsory service. Then I completed my military service as a medical sub-lieutenant-lieutenant for 1 year. I worked in Antalya, Ataşehir and Şişli locations for 11 years in Memorial Health Group, where I started working in 2010. With the invitation of Istanbul Surgery Hospital, I worked in this hospital for 1 year. I am currently taking care of my patients in my own practice.

My surgical experience; mostly nose surgeries (Rhinoplasty, Deviation surgery, Rhinoplasty, Rhinoplasty), endoscopic surgeries of sinusitis, snoring and apnea surgery, tonsil and adenoid surgeries, vocal cord surgeries, eardrum repair, middle ear surgeries, jaw and facial fractures, tumor surgeries in the neck; lip cancer, facial skin cancer operations.

The Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases lectures I gave as a guest lecturer at Altınbaş University Audiology Department in 2018, and my participation in domestic and international congresses and my professional presentations are within the framework of these issues.

The total number of surgeries I have performed between 2002 and 2022 has exceeded 11,000, about half of which are nose-oriented.

I am a member of Turkish Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Association and Turkish Facial Plastic Surgery Association.

I speak fluent English and intermediate German. I share travel, sports, cinema, music and dance with my daughter and I like to make her studies fun. I enjoy fitness, cycling and swimming. I am interested in percussion instruments, Turkish music, Aegean-Mediterranean and Latin music, theoretical physics, automotive mechanics.
